Cevdet Erek’s work is characterised by highly controlled intervention (LESS), a decisive use of emptiness and void (EMPTY), and a certain openness (MAYBE). The artist places great importance on form, using minimal interventions to suggest a certain field/platform and interface. Erek does not view his art as a completed, well-integrated art project, instead emphasising the continuity of ambiguity and contingency.
